Evidence-Based Wellness Drumming Protocol
BrainBeats Empowerment Drumming Program
what is Group empowerment drumming?
Group Empowerment Drumming is a whole-person, evidence-based, therapeutic approach to overall health and wellbeing. The drums are used as communication tools to foster connection, reduce stress, process traumatic events, increase feelings of self-worth, and respect for others. This recreational music-making activity provides restorative power for both mind and body. See case study
Our program Rhythm-to-Rewire(TM) utilizes the HealthRhythms protocol (and some brain science) to guide participants through a series of 10 steps designed to facilitate communication and personal expression. Research has shown health benefits to include: a normalizing of heart rate, an increase in natural killer cell activity, reduction in stress and burnout rates, brain regulation, mood improvement, enhanced creativity, and bonding. This system can be integrated as a therapeutic strategy in group counseling sessions, support groups, rehabilitation centers, schools, hospitals, aging facilities and more.
We work with people of all ages from diverse backgrounds, having delivered our program to senior centers, youth groups, for corporate retreats, groups looking to reduce stress, and even the processing of traumatic events. We have even facilitated at birthday parties!
